If this feels intimidating, that makes sense.

You are being asked to talk about parts of your life that may not be easy to put into words, often within a system that feels unfamiliar or high stakes. It is natural to worry about saying the wrong thing or sharing too much. You are not required to relive everything at once or push beyond your capacity. A well conducted evaluation respects your pace, your boundaries, and the complexity of your experiences.

Instead of feeling like you are being evaluated or judged, imagine feeling listened to and understood.

Your experiences are documented thoughtfully and accurately, without being rushed or minimized, allowing the evaluation to feel human as well as clinically ready.

Our Immigration evaluations are meant to bring clarity to complex experiences.

This process helps organize and document your story in a way that is thoughtfully written and aligned with professional standards, so it can be understood clearly without reducing you to a checklist.

Here’s what you can expect from the immigration evaluation process:

An initial consultation where we explain the evaluation, answer your questions, and outline next steps.

One or more structured clinical interviews completed at a pace that feels manageable.

Standardized clinical measures if appropriate, explained clearly beforehand.

Careful review of relevant background information and documentation.

A professionally written psychological report aligned with ethical and clinical standards.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

    • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Is my information kept confidential?
