You deserve to feel safe in your own body and at peace with your story, without constantly reliving the past or blaming yourself for what you’ve survived.

You’re in the right place if…

You’ve spent years being “the strong one,” holding it all together while quietly feeling like something inside you never fully healed.

You find yourself shutting down, overthinking, or feeling on edge, even when life seems to be going well.

You keep repeating patterns in relationships or reactions that don’t make sense, but feel impossible to change.

You’ve already tried therapy or self-help, but it never got to the root of what’s really going on.

You want to feel grounded, confident, and free, but part of you still feels stuck in survival mode.

This might sound familiar

These experiences often show up quietly, woven into everyday moments. If you recognize yourself in any of this, it’s not because something is wrong with you it’s because your body and mind have been doing their best to cope.

And have you ever ended up…

Smiling through the day, but collapsing the moment you’re alone, too tired to hold it all together anymore?

Feeling “numb” one moment and overwhelmed the next, like your emotions have a mind of their own?

Avoiding certain memories, places, or people because they stir up feelings you can’t quite explain?

Wondering why you freeze, shut down, or overreact in situations that seem small, but feel huge inside your body?

Telling yourself “it wasn’t that bad,” even when part of you knows it left a mark?

You’re not broken, lazy, or dramatic. You’ve simply learned how to survive in a world that didn’t always feel safe and your body is still trying to protect you. Healing isn’t about forcing yourself to move on; it’s about finally feeling safe enough to let go.

therapy for moms

Healing isn’t about erasing your past, it’s about reclaiming your peace in the present.

It’s the shift from constantly replaying what happened to feeling calm and grounded in your own skin again. From numbness to aliveness.

From carrying everyone else’s needs to honoring your own boundaries with confidence. It’s learning to move through life without bracing for impact to feel safe, supported, and deeply connected to yourself and the people you love.

Because your story doesn’t have to control you anymore, it can become the foundation of your strength.

That’s exactly what our Trauma Therapy for Women is designed to do, to help you make sense of what you’ve been carrying, find safety in your body again, and begin healing at the root.

Together, we’ll untangle old patterns, rebuild trust within yourself, and create space for a calm, connected, and authentic life.

Here’s What’s Included

Start with safety and understanding

Healing begins with feeling safe, in your body, your story, and the therapy room. In your first sessions, we’ll take time to understand your history and how trauma has shaped your emotions, relationships, and sense of self. There’s no pressure to share everything right away; we move at your pace, building trust and safety first.

Process and release what’s been stuck

Once safety and stability are in place, your therapist will make recommendations about which treatment approach might be most beneficial for your goals. We may integrate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Brainspotting, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), or Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) all evidence-based methods proven to help the brain and body heal from trauma. These approaches typically range from 8 to 12 sessions, depending on your needs and pace.

Reconnect, rebuild, and move forward

As you integrate what you’ve processed, we’ll focus on helping you reconnect with yourself and the world around you, cultivating self-trust, healthy relationships, and a renewed sense of peace. You’ll learn how to live from a place of safety instead of survival, carrying forward not just tools, but true transformation.

Hello, we are Vida Collective

At Vida Collective Counseling, our therapists specialize in helping women heal from trauma and reconnect with their sense of safety and self. Our team offers a range of evidence-based approaches including ART, CPT, EMDR, and Brainspotting to support each client’s unique path to healing

The most meaningful change begins when you choose yourself.

Choosing yourself is not an act of selfishness, it’s an act of restoration. It’s the moment you stop carrying everything on your own and allow yourself to feel, rest, and reconnect with who you are beneath the survival patterns. This is where healing begins—not by erasing your past, but by creating enough safety in the present to move forward with clarity, confidence, and peace.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does virtual trauma therapy work?

Virtual sessions are held through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You’ll receive a private link before each session—no downloads needed. All you need is a quiet, private space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone.

  • Can I use my insurance for trauma therapy?

Yes! We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Ambetter, QualChoice, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, and Arkansas Medicaid.

If we’re out-of-network for your provider, we can provide a superbill that you can submit for potential reimbursement.

  • Do you offer in-person trauma therapy?

Yes. We offer both in-person and virtual sessions at our Little Rock office. Many clients use a combination of both for flexibility and comfort.

  • How long are trauma therapy sessions?

Most sessions are 53 minutes, which aligns with clinical best practices and insurance standards. Structured trauma treatments—such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), EMDR, or Brainspotting—are typically completed within 8–12 sessions, depending on your needs and pace.

  • What if I need to cancel or reschedule my session?

We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel.

    • First late cancellation or no-show: $25 fee
    • Second occurrence: $50 fee
    • Third and following: $100 fee
    • This helps us reserve time for clients waiting for appointments while respecting your therapist’s schedule.
  • Do you prescribe medication?

No, we do not prescribe medication. If you’d like to explore that option, we can connect you with trusted psychiatrists or primary care providers for evaluation and medication management.

  • I’ve been in therapy before, but I still feel stuck. Can trauma therapy help me?

Yes. Many of our clients come to us after trying therapy in the past but still feeling like something deeper hasn’t healed. Trauma therapy helps you process the root of those experiences, not just the symptoms. You’ll learn to understand your body’s responses and create safety from within.

  • What if I don’t remember everything that happened to me?

That’s completely okay. You don’t need to remember every detail for therapy to work. Trauma therapy focuses on your emotions, body responses, and current triggers—not just the memories. Healing can happen without reliving the entire story.

  • Will I have to talk about the details of my trauma?

No. In fact, many trauma-focused approaches (like ART or EMDR) don’t require you to share specific details of what happened. We’ll move at your pace and focus on helping your body and mind feel safe first.

  • How will I know if trauma therapy is working?

Healing can look subtle at first—feeling calmer, reacting differently, or noticing more self-compassion. Over time, you’ll see shifts in how you think, feel, and respond to stress. You’ll start to feel more like yourself again: grounded, connected, and at peace.

  • What if I’m nervous about starting therapy?

That’s completely normal. Beginning therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’ve been holding things in for a long time. We’ll move at your pace, starting with safety, trust, and small steps. You’re not expected to have it all figured out—just to show up as you are.

  • Do you offer therapy in Spanish?

Yes! Vida Collective Counseling is a bilingual practice. You can choose therapy in English or Spanish—whichever language feels most natural for you. We believe healing happens best when you can express yourself fully, in the language that feels like home.

  • Can I switch therapists if I don’t feel like it’s the right fit?

Absolutely. The relationship between you and your therapist is one of the most important parts of therapy. If you ever feel like you’d connect better with another clinician on our team, we’ll help you make a smooth transition.

  • What’s the difference between talking about trauma and healing from it?

Talking about trauma can bring awareness, but healing from trauma involves helping your brain and body process what happened so you no longer feel stuck in it. Our trauma modalities (like ART, CPT, EMDR, and Brainspotting) are designed to help your system release what it’s been holding onto—so you can feel safe and whole again.

  • Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

    • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
    • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
    • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
    • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
